Welcome to the
CHRC Newsletter
December 2020

Hello to all of our readers,

Simply put: on behalf of the Board of Directors and our staff at CHRC, Happy Holidays everyone!

Wishing you some rest and safe enjoyable moments while as this year ends and wishing you a great start to 2021.

In this issue!

A quick look back at CHRC's 2020…

If you haven’t read them yet, have a look at our two reports: Dealing with Harassment in Cultural Workplaces and Selecting and Teaching Immersive-Technology-for-Artistic-Applications. These reports deal respectively with the subjects of workplace misconduct and Augmented/Virtual Reality as an artistic medium. Thank you to Jeanne LeSage, Lise Labine, Henry Faber and Interactive Ontario for the great work!

Apart from dealing with the ups and downs of a pesky virus, CHRC project successes include Talent 2 Lead’s 4th edition (T2L4), Young Canada Works (YCW), Respectful Workplaces in the Arts (RWA), and the launch of the Cross Sectoral Recovery Roundtables (CSRR). A huge thanks to our T2L4 participant mentees & mentors, HEC Montreal & Williams HR, our RWA workshop facilitator team, YCW interns & cultural sector employers as well as our project managers Annalee Adair, Hamal Docter, Lise Labine, Jane Needles and Lucie D’Aoust!

Of course, a word of thanks to our members, partners and funders (Canada Council for the Arts, Canadian Heritage, Justice Canada) for their support throughout 2020.

Looking towards 2021, we are pleased to announce that YCW 2021-2022 is already accepting applications (see below), RWA Workshops (register here) will continue to be offered online till mid-March, The Art of Managing Your Career (TAMYC) will be updated and rolled out with workshops in post-secondary institution across the country. Of course, CHRC will hit the ground running in January to start the membership drive, feel free to sign up or renew  right away. More on all of the above topics in our January newsletter.

Enjoy the Holidays and we look forward to a great year starting soon!

Kind regards,

Grégoire Gagnon, D. Mus., MPA & MBA
